[News – X360] Halo 3: ODST details

halo_recon_new

Halo 3: ODST (in other times, Recon) will have as main character a ODST troop and it will have some flashbacks. The main goal of this trooper is to save his squad.

While we’re pursuing his goals, the game will be a little bit open-world. Once you find the clues that leads to your teammate, the game switches things up, you get a flashback and then you'll play it.

Joseph Staten confessed that every squad mate has a “very distinct personality”. "The reason we decided to keep the rookie faceless and anonymous is to help smooth these clue-triggered transitions from one ODST to another," says Staten. "[The game] is designed to put you in the boots of a bunch of fun, memorable characters so you can experience this awesome pocket of Halo fiction from as many points of view as possible."

[News – PS3] Uncharted 2 revealed

gi_uncharted_2

Uncharted 2 isn’t really a news. But, now, more details are known.

First of all, watch the teaser. Isn’t too long (it’s a teaser) but we can already conclude that those paradisiacal scenarios are gone. Welcome to Everest (or something similar).

Next issue of GameInformer will have the first print look at Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It’s seems that the story “revolves around the 13th century explorer Marco Polo and his voyages”. It will count with a “free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay”.

But, will all the scenarios be f*cking freezing? Hope not, since I loved the sunshine in the first Uncharted.

[News – Wii] How much money does Nintendo make from each Wii?

wiibox3

Everybody knows that Wii sells like bananas, which means, a lot. Everybody knows too that every Wii sold it’s more pennies in Nintendo’s profits. But, how much?!

According to a report in Forbes magazine, it’s $6 per Wii. Pure profit! Pay attention that this is an analyst calculation and not official. But it mustn’t be too far off the mark.

Imagine 40M consoles sold, for each, $6 profit…well, do the math!

[News - Multi] Next Metal Gear will be?

Konami opened a new Japanese page that teases the next project of Kojima Productions, responsible for Metal Gear.

In this page, there is no information about the game and only have the logo of Konami and then, a green advise with math and pointing to the next Metal Gear.

The information is green under a black background and the symbol make us think that X360 is the target but nothing is confirmed until now.

There're some rumors that Konami is developing a new Metal Gear for X360. It's Metal Gear Solid: Trilogy and it's a remake of the first three games. There're also rumors that they're developing a new game for Microsoft's Zune, called Metal Gear Solid: Fluid Ac!d.

Konami, please, don't prolong our suffering. Metal Gear: Trilogy? Metal Gear 5? Snake, Snake, SNAAAAAAAAAAAKE!

For example, Blizzard announced that Warcraft has over 11M subscribers and the last expansion sold 2.8M copies in the first day.

[News – X360] New details on “Jasper” model improvements

media

Last month, it started to circulate some reports about a new version of X360, Jasper, that was already being sold on the stores. But, why is this important? Because only now, with this Jasper model, could finally be the end of the Red Ring of Death.

In this new model, it’s used a smaller graphics chip that consumes less power and fits better in X360 motherboard. With this, it’s unlikely to overheat X360 motherboard.

But this isn’t the only improvement. Microsoft also add some internal flash memory (16Mb to 256Mb) to store NXE and this new model only need 150 watt power supply, instead of the previous 175 watt.

It took more than 1000 days to Microsoft build a X360 without problems. UAU!
